May be short on quality but certainly not short on numbers, Mavropanos, Mustafi, Holding, Koscielny and Papa.

Thats true but Kos is out until Xmas, another injury and we will really struggle.

Although we can play Monreal, Elneny and Niles there.

If Holding gets injured, its Mavropanos whos comes in when needed or we bring Monreal/Lichtsteiner/Elneny in there, but Im getting sick of playing guys in CB who arent comfortable there. Its not a very good defence when you look at the backups.

That was more for player fitness I think or just some random experient. I really wouldnt even class him as a left back in all honesty.

Me neither because hes right footed and notably crosses with the outside of his right boot like Rosicky used to when played out of position.

But i think the experiment was to sharpen his defensive skills for a future box to box role.

Kolasinac has the attributes for a decent ball playing central defender also.

Even so, like said the make shift options are a bit stupid, i mean why didnt we wait until january to send chambers out on loan.

I honestly thought we would have got Vida today on the cheap but it wasen't to be, not thta hes great, i'd rather have him than Mustafi starting alongside Sokratis.

Kept saying this at the time, we should've gone for him instead of Papa when the moves were basically linked.

Good news is now that he’s at Dortmund, Mislintat will notice him.

Yes. It didn’t look good.

Maybe it is a good idea for him to get PL experience.

Kamara has just said he's been outstanding.

The impact Scott Parker has had on Calum Chambers' resurrection in central midfield at Fulham

The Arsenal loanee has transformed himself into one of the best performers at the club

Calum Chambers has revitalised himself at Fulham in recent weeks in a new midfield role under Claudio Ranieri - with Scott Parker the brains behind his resurrection.

The Arsenal loanee struggled at first after making the move from north London to west in the summer and was in and out of the side under former boss Slavisa Jokanovic courtesy of some pretty dire performances.

He struggled massively at centre half against Watford and was torn apart at right back in Cardiff, but Chambers has shown mental strength to come back from those performances and flourish in a central midfield role he first played at Liverpool in Jokanovic's last game.

Since then, he's made the position his own with a strong showing against Southampton in Ranieri's first victory before putting in a man of the match performance in the Chelsea defeat at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chambers has come a long way from that performance in South Wales in October, but Ranieri has revealed how it was Parker, the former Tottenham Hotspur man, who convinced him that the Arsenal loanee was able to play in midfield.

Ahead of the visit of Leicester City, Ranieri said: "I spoke with Scott Parker and he told me he could play there and I believe he is very good. He’s intelligent and it’s good for the team and for me.

"Collectively, he links very well with the defensive line and the forwards and he has good movement, he is attentive."

Happy for him. I think he can still play a role for us next year. Koscielny isn't the youngest anymore. El Neny could be leaving. Who knows if Mustafi will stay.
Having him as a squad option for CB/DM sounds good to me.
