What's happened to this guy?

Absolute crap for years for us and on loan.

Now he's looking very good. Can't be just the emery factor surely?

No real surprise considering he won PotS despite playing out of position for a side that spent the majority of the season battling against relegation.

Undoubtedly his successful loan spell at Fulham has helped him become a more complete and mature player.

imo he's pushing Bellerin to be 1st choice, what's good though even if he doesn't pip hector is that in every game we'll have a very good RB in all comps and Hector has competition to keep him on his toes.

Also not sure what his best final position is, is it RB or CB? not a bad problem to be considered good enough for two positions where as AMN can't even be good at one.

Worth remembering that RB is the position where he initially made a name for himself at So'ton.

It's a pity he doesn't have the required pace to make a recovery tackle, meaning every time his positioning is off, he will be exposed. At the same time, however, his lack of pace has meant that he has gotten much better at reading the game.

I too believe his future lies at DM, where his lack of mobility is slightly less of a concern. He certainly has the required engine, awareness and close control. Could prove to be a success when partnered with someone who is good at progressing the ball from deep.

Then again, it wouldn't be a great surprise if he remained a utility man for the rest of his career - and there's nothing wrong with that.

He could well become Arsenal's James Milner; not the most flashy player but someone with a good general understanding of the game in various differing roles and positions on the field.

Looks like he's gotten over that arse raping by Jefferson Montero at last.

I'll still be nervous about him at RB against the best and quickest wingers though. Otherwise he's good on the ball which we knew already and his touch is wankworthy.

He's a great squad player as he can cover multiple positions. Never going to be first choice for us but if he's happy beingba squad player then fine with me. You need decent squad players if you want to win the league.

Hector in at right back

Tell Xhaka we're going for a walk and then leave him in the woods and drive off

Chambers becomes our CDM

Lower table player who looked good for us yesterday because we played like a lower table side. It’s sad to see our most creative players be Chambers and Kolasinac.

Forget about this multiple positions BS. He needs to lock down one position and be unshakeably good in it. He is doing well at RB and that's where he should continue playing. Bellerin shouldn't get an automatic starting spot unless he continues to have class games like the Standard Liege demolition.

Exactly these jack of all trade players never lock down a position in starting line ups, they are only ever 'handy to have on the bench'.

I still don't have a clue what Alex Oxlade-Chamberlains position is :rofll:
