I believe he has played well in every game he’s played for us in the past two years. Was motm in one game …..so not sure why he’s not playing more games. Certainly as a sub.

That's what I suggested, we've flirted with playing him as a CDM before, he has enough football foundation skills to play anywhere defensive so I'd be comfortable with it.

If I were Newcastle I’d be signing Chambers exactly the type of player they could use with his versatility, with his contracting running out at the end of the season he’ll be really cheap

Yes, any team looking for a solid player would be stupid to overlook him.

They had him valued last at £5m which is similar to the £6m we bought Elneny for, another player who's limited but a consumate professional and always delivers, he plays consistent even against the top 6.

I can only speculate that these players have horrible agents who don't know how to promote them properly.

It's Cedric Soares. For whatever reason, Arteta keeps looking for a reason to give that guy game time. Chambers had a bad start vs Brentford and that was that. Cedric became the default back up RB.

If we give Chambers the mandate to simply screen/shield the defence in the role of DM that could work, giving him license to try to be a midfielder proper would be a big mistake because he doesn't have the speed of thought of a midfielder and would get caught on the ball too much.

If he is there to break up play and then make a simple pass to a teammate, that could work, I don't want to see him twisting and turning on the ball.

Best of luck to him.
Never quite good enough, but not far off.
Good you see all these Wenger/Emery players leaving.

Free transfer ?
Good sign is not a single journo has any clue.
We could be close to signing players too that have not even been mentioned.
Most of the rumours we probably never even had any contact with.

Nah, reports say £2m. So might as well have been free.

We did this last January. Focussed on offloading deadwood and setting us up for the summer window.
