I've not been a fan in recent seasons, but you have to give him a chance.

Think about it... Just out of the youth team, bought for a massive amount of money, then thrown into the deep end, under a manager who refused to work on defence. Hardly an easy start.

If it doesn't work out, he'll have to go, and he'll be able to thank Wenger (the worlds greatest developer of youth talent lol), for wrecking his career.

I wanted him out this time last year but he was easily our best CB last season and he's still young so I support emery on this decision to reward him with a new contract.

If only Jenkinson, Chambers and Holding got to the level we hope they can, that would be freekin awesome. I still really like Jenkinson, he is big, strong and fast, just what we need. Lets hope the new guy can get the best out of them - assuming Jenkinson is still with us ?!

Yeah he's contracted here until 2020 gotta hand it to him he's practically been stealing a living from us since he joined in 2011, clearly he doesn't care about first team football as palace were interested in him last year and he turned them down and no doubt that he'll turn down any other offers until his contract expires in 2020.

He is proper Arsenal though. According to Wiki he was loaned out to West Ham and Birmingham over the past 3 years. Seems to have played loads for West Ham but hardly any appearances for Birmingham.

Yeah he did pretty well at West Ham. Better than chambers did at boro for sure. Injuries though at both West Ham and Birmingham stopped him getting game time.

Thought he was dog when we got him but he was ok after a while. Rather him than chambers.
