Giroud is good enough for a top four team, but not for a title winning team. Simple as that really.

I find it hilarious how polarized and irrational some are on here about him. He 100% is not shit but at the same time is not nearly good enough compared to the strikers at the other big clubs around us.

giroud is the second best striker from all top team in england. the only one who is currently better is suarez and he will be gone in the summer. so giroud will go on top. he played fantastic again today and got his 3rd man of the match title in a row

I have no issue with it. He's a good squad player and I'd be happy to see him stay past 2016.

Giroud scored or assisted one in every three goals we scored last season. I don't think he's good enough to be a regular starter for us either but some of you are so unfair to him given his contribution since he's arrived. He's improved massively and is a good option to have.

Giroud should be back up, its that simple. He doesnt score enough vs the big sides to be our no.1

His managers seem to rate him.

Maybe these seasoned vets are all missing something?

To think that a Donkey has come so far in his career. lol but seriously though, good player to have in a squad.

56 goals and assists in 98 appearances. Good return if you ask me.

no f**k off, you wont give sagna one but will giroud? ugh

The guy isn't as bad as he makes some of us suggest sometimes but christ he's JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH, simple as that. We shouldn't be looking to keep players who aren't good enough, that includes Flamini, Arteta, Monreal, Rosicky as well.

If Giroud was 31 and asked for a £120-50k p/w contract he wouldn't get one either. It seems we offered Sagna three years on £90k p/w - an extremely respectable offer - but he'd rather earn more at City. Don't use Sagna's situation to bash Giroud because they're entirely different.

He is good enough for a squad player, as are some of the other players you mentioned. He scored or assisted 32 goals this season which is a great return for someone who is "JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH". I agree that we need better, especially against the big sides, but I cannot understand why so many fans want to see him sold as soon as possible.

The hate sprung ages ago and now its a law unto itself.

If Giroud is 2nd striker, it wont be a problem, but we need a new striker.

This is the bottom line, basically. Giroud is a good rotation option against smaller sides but we need someone like Benzema to do the business for us against the better ones.
