We'll have a better chance but this is such a weird season. City and Liverpool will be the top two, and then you have six clubs vying for the other two spots for UCL qualification. We can have a good season and improve a lot, and still only finish 5th/ 6th.

5th-6th with a EU victory and we walk into CL. But long way to go, and excited about this season after a while. The younger players seem to be hungry and that's the plus.

This is what happens when you play Liverpool in a game that matters

Shocking starting line up and our football is dreadful.

We need to buy players this system of defend deep and long ball to Aubameyang and hope for best only works against tactically clueless amanagers like lampard

Anyone who's dissapointed with the performance needs to have a long hard look at this team and where they were last season. Yes, we lost, but even in this one, we were competitive and if Laca burried that chance we would have stolen a point. Last season under Emery this is 3-0 at half time.

Our players aren't good enough. Can't really expect much more from Mikel.

came out with a respectable result against a side who'll batter far better opposition than us by more goals - they aint lost at anfield for 3 and a half years in the leagye

couldve sneaked a point if laca's touch werent so horrid

this team will be revolutionised when we sign aouar and/or partey. still feel confident we may get both come deadline day

Oh well, he's learning his trade. Hopefully, he now realizes that using the same tactics 3x in a row against an elite team and manager isn't the wisest idea.

Liverpool next now for Micky. Don't make it 4 in a row.

They hounded us.
Our tactics had some flaws but you can see the progression under Arteta. We were in that game right until the last 5 minutes when Jota's goal went in. Didn't deserve to get anything from the game so we move

So... weve had less shots, posession and passes, than leeds(vs) liverpool..and we cant be dissapointed? Give me a break mate.

Sure, a loss was to be expected but we were poor.. too poor.

Yes. If laca....
Oh wait, if liverpool did aswell, then theyd scored 6

Not good enough. Just like westham.

Liverpool have a full cast, Arteta can barely get signings.

Those jumping on him tonight when we're 2/3 up in the last 3 games are being children.
