I fully expected us to get smashed today!
Yes but you have to deal with the cards your dealt and we handled Liverpool, we were in control of most of the game and really only fell apart when we were forced to put Skelly on Salah.
Timber had Salah wrapped up all game, I forgot he was even playing till the goal.
If this was Klopps Liverpool, I'd be thanking the draw, but we played a crap Liverpool, who got lucky we had so many injuries and absences, so why should we not of expected the win?
We scored a perfectly legit disallowed goal, Havertz blazed over from yards out, we should've won the game. Given all of that I can't overly critical of Arteta. We were 10 mins or so out from winning the game. Yes Artera was overly defensive but still, that was infinitely better than what I expected from us !!

Strong line-up.
A win or nothing else.
Doens't matter if we get a PL side in the QF.
Let's go and win it.
If not, and Preston beat us, it's a nail in his Arsenal managerial coffin!! or it should be!!
We ahven't won league cup in a generation. yes, it's a dead trophy with no prestige but then time we won it again.

I feel like he's not able to motivate the players this season. We never had the best quality squad in the PL but he admittedly did get a lot out of them the past 2 seasons. This year, nope.
Saliba's head has been turned by Real, Saka is carrying the team offensively, Ode remains injured, and the rest of the team are B-players on £200 kpw that offer nothing if the top dogs are not performing.

Crap.
Inability to produce a solution to a known problem. Newcastle played exactly the same as they did last season.

Where’s the evidence that he can turn this around? There is none whatsoever.
The only reason to support Arteta staying on as manager now is if you simply don’t care that he’ll continue to fail.

There are 2 ways to look at this so far:
1) We are suffering because of the loss of Odegaard. Very true. But then we all said in previous seasons, if we lose Odegaard we are f***ked. Makes the decisions to not play Nwaneri more/get rid of ESR all the more damning
2) It has nothing to do with losing Odegaard. If that's the case the manager is clueless and tactically inept. We look desperate and devoid of ideas.
Not a single shot on target I remember in that game !

Yep, the worst game so far. No complaints.
He has to get back to winning ways. Back to back away defeats to mid- low table teams shows lack of intensity and ideas.
Not a single player seemed up for the fight today.
Partey probably the best player because he did his job well. Rest ...all sub par.

Why did he change the system? Last season it was fine, this season we are all defensive.
Is he now being found out as being tactically shit?!

Can't defend that. He's shit the bed now in successive PL away games.
