Everton next up in the league. The manager we didn't want v the manager we wanted. Should be interesting. Hopefully Arteta can prove us wrong.

Excellent win today. Performance doesn't matter for me. First win in the league since start of January so he has a lot to do to convince fans

I don't know how many Arsenal fans wanted Anchelotti as manager! Anyway, it is a done deal, and slow but steady improvement under Arteta is everybody to see. Lot more secure in defense and midfield making more connections to front three. Encouraging, for sure.

Over Arteta?

Pretty much every Arsenal fan ever.

But like you say it's done now. We've been absolute shit under Arteta with no sign of improvement so hopefully today is the turning point and not a blip in our usual form.

It's time for us to kick on with the results and keep the momentum. The mood around the camp sounds good and positive. They have had time to go away and learn more and it would have been massive disappointment to come away with a loss or draw today. I think it would have sapped away the teams enthusiasm. A really good result and happy with the performances. I'm not as concerned about our defending and if he keeps the midfield and attack ticking along that's a all round improvement with the current team and no major new signings. That's a sign of good management and it shouldn't take a complete squad overhaul just to see these sort of improvements.

That first half was painful and everything I said that was wrong with it (CB's hogging the ball and no service into the box) credit where its due, Arteta made them change.

Second half midfield was on the ball much more in Cebellos and Ozil taking off the creative play from bloody Luiz and Mustafi, also we were pinging balls into the box ........ and it obviously paid off.

Arteta needs to have this from the 1st half though, I got a bit heated with him 1st half but its obvious its the players fault, not carrying out their instructions properly, 2nd half was a massive improvement.

He improved almost every player individually since his appointment. Look at Xhaka, Mustafi, Luiz, Torreira and others.
We could have a really good manager at our hands.

Only thing I want him to work on his reluctance to use the bench. There will be games we will need the substitutes to make the change and iz will be difficult, if we always waited till the 70th minute.

We shouldn't give up on the top 4 (or top 5 now) dream but realistically our ceiling for this season is 7th place.

It was a good win but we must not get carried away.

He needs to force Luiz and Mustafi to give the damn ball to the midfield though, the amount of times they hog the ball and by pass our entire midfield with long balls basically being our play makers ......... and fking it up time after time is an issue.

Cebello's and Ozil came deeper 2nd half to force them to give up the ball and it was much better.

We haven't scored 4 (or more) at home in the Premier League whilst keeping a clean sheet since Wenger's final home game.

Arteta even whilst making some mistakes has done wonders, 1 unlucky loss in like 9 or so games is a dream turnaround form emery

He's been doing it in multiple threads. I wanted to see how many threads he could have shockers in before replying.

We was conceding like 30 shots a game with emery, anyone that came in had to make us hard to beat even if it made us boring, arteta has done that and now he can focus on being more offensive.

Arteta has defensively made drastic improvements without even using any signed players or having 2 pre seasons like emery did.
