Arteta would do well at City. With the best squad in the country and endless resources to pad it further, City is an ideal environment for a manager. What you want is what you get, which means you'll be positioned to win the league every year. If Arteta goes there, I fully expect him to win the title.

He’s helped f turn things around at the club.

Rewarding failure how the club has reduced standards, I think it's all bollocks its the clown's agent trying to drum up support just in case we miss out on Europe again. Still it keeps the fan boys happy.

He's moved us up from 12th when he took over to being in a realistic fight for Champions League qualification - all in 2 years.
Add to that he's come in as a rookie manager and has quickly rebuilt the squad with very good young players, whilst dramatically improving the attitude of the players and the culture around the club.
Seems not too bad and I can see why other clubs would want him.

Oh god you're not, it's all over the papers.

Would City really want him?

He's done well in terms of making us more organised, overhauling the squad and putting the pride back into The Arsenal.

Having said that, a lot will rest on whether he gets top 4 this season. Top 4 is there to be grabbed and if he doesn't get it then I think we should part ways. If he does get it then it'll open up a whole new world for us with CL money to play with, so he'll deserve to stay.

18 cup finals left.

But that has left the squad threadbare at the moment.

If and I mean if, Arteta is to get a new contract it should only be if he gets us into the top 4.

I'm referring to getting rid of the likes of Mustafi, Sokratis, Iwobi, finally ending the Ozil saga etc.

We've gutted the squad and brought in new faces which was long overdue.

The AMN loan was ridiculous and damn right stupid.

Iwobi?

“For me, there are five trophies, the first is to win the Premier League, the second is to win the Champions League, the third is to qualify for the Champions League, the fourth is to win the FA Cup and the fifth is to win the League Cup.”

“I say that because if you want to attract the best players, they do not ask ‘did you win the League Cup?’, they ask you ‘do you play in the Champions League?'”

It wouldn't have been so bad if we'd got someone in first.

That describes a chequebook manager.

If they offer him a new deal, I hope that it's being offered with Top 4 as the expectation and not more of the same. With KSE, we have seen them tear up a newly signed contract. They did it with the former Ram's coach and did with Wenger.

He was wrong then he would be wrong now
Qualifying for a trophy is not a trophy
It’s an aim to get as high up the league as you can
Getting into Europe is a byproduct of that but it is not a trophy
It’s a matter of coarse and should never be mentioned as such
