Attack looks promising but holes in midfield needs to be plugged. Partey not enough to hold off the opponent.

Get in that central midfielder so we can have Xhaka as an option not a reliance

This.

CM need is desperate. Even if they end up playing next to Xhaka, we need another starting quality player.

This season I'd like to see an improved ability to turn a deficit into a victory, an improved ability to capitalise on a lead in order to 'kill' the game, and fewer back-to-back defeats followed by redemption arcs, only but to miss out on UCL football once again.

I don't have time for another season where we opt to not utilise of the January transfer window for incoming transfers. That doesn't mean we should be signing players just for the sake of it, but last year we shied away from taking a calculated risk in the JTW, and probably more than anything else it was the difference between UCL and UEL football.

Unless we're struck by a horrible misfortune in terms of injuries/absences, UCL qualification is now a minimum requirement, whether by winning the UEL, or by finishing in the top-4 (or both). Granted, it won't be easy but the longer we're in this 5th to 8th place bracket, the harder it becomes to re-establish ourselves as a top-4 regular.

Hats off to the guy he is building what looks to be a competitive side, signs look good so far.

We've had a run of consecutive wins before under Arteta only for it to fall flat which we all expected

Don't expect it now. Something feels different. Do we have our Arsenal back?

It'll be tough

City and Liverpool despite their start are guarantees

Chelsea and Tottenham are favourites for the other 2

Hopefully no cl football will help us, we can play reserves on el up to the latter stages, then teams got 3 games a week, we need more signins though

We had no European football at all last season and we f***ked up royally. Hopefully that experience will stand us in good stead

I was one of his biggest critics, but he seems to have a good handle on players that compliment each others ability and style, Saliba finally playing has been huge boost

Fair, if we get a Pepe replacement and hopefully youri, then we should be in business

Im loving the way the team plays. Speed and precision and flair. The key will be September and October as we have two games a week for two months. Are we deep enough?
