In a one versus one game against Man City at the Etihad, I don't expect us to win. The same fixture but reversed I give us better odds of winning.

Us versus the rest of the league compared to City versus the rest of the league - we have as good a chance of winning the league as they have.

I’m looking to win the league after 20 long years. Necessary to that is being the best team in England. League winning teams don’t parse who they win against or where it is. If you’re too scared to play at the home of the league defenders you’re not likely to win the league. We can revisit this topic next month.

Unfortunately we couldn't go toe to toe with Pep on Sunday, but that doesn't mean our intention was to sit back, we heard from the horse's mouth that sitting back wasn't our plan. So give credit to Man City for making us have to sit back and give credit to Arsenal for changing their intended game plan and blunting City's attack to nothing.

I have absolutely no problem with what we did at the weekend. I always champion having a strong defence, they are the foundation of ANY title-winning team. Had our defence not been compromised last season (losing Saliba) we would've won the league. We have the best defence in the league at the moment, why are people complaining about us being strong defensively ? Would you prefer us to be gung ho a la Wenger days and get our arses handed to us ? Don't you remember what happened to us last season ? We had 48% possession, 8 shots (instead of 6), the same 2 on target and we lost the game 4-1 !!

Nobody is saying we should surrender our defense. But our stats were 6 shots, 2 on target and 28% possession. We have 9 games to go. After what we have spent and the last four years of building we should be relishing these battles. Frankly, I'd rather we go for it and lose a point than this cowardice. City have nothing to prove. They have won seven of the last ten league titles and the treble last year. We have everything to prove. Who cares if we finish second by a single point or ten points. We would regret not going for it in these last few fixtures.

If you look back last 30 years, it is very common that even the league winners dropped points against their nearest rivals in away games.
So getting 4 pts out of 6 is nothing to belittle about.
