We stunk it out this season with Odegaard. the Villa win was case in point.

it's on arteta for not playing Nwaneri in his place. Doesnt' even have to be for 90 mins every game. Give him a taste of top level football and let him show he has the quality.

Something to do with bricks and cement. Couldn’t make sense of it but that’s what we were told.

One thing that narks me about Arteta's interview, that players returning to fitness have raised our level, so what he is saying is if we lose players we are squarely and royally f***ked then, because we lost some players, players we didn't lose last season - and we were dreadful.

So is he saying that he can only put out a competitive team when everyone is available?!! Thats f***ing shit !

We are nine points off the top. Going to be hard to overtake unless Liverpool implode with their Salah challenges. It’s a possibility. The shame is the year city decline, Liverpool rushes ahead instead of us.

What worries me is when we were challenged with injuries and suspension Arteta put his faith in players bereft of form,
I am 100% of believe that Arteta team selection is why we are where we are, the excuse of not playing Nwaneri does not wear at all, and for some reason he is being allowed to get away with it, imo he is holding a one in a generation player back

The concern I have with the Arteta system is that it is too dependent on Saka and Odegard linking up. Even when we put five past Sporting it was all down that one side. We are lacking cutting edge down the left. It’s causing us to drop vital points when the Saka/Odegard combo is disrupted.

Have to remember Arteta played under AW who plan after Henry and Bergkamp was to build a team around one man and play everything through him, cesc as good as he was is destined to fail always easy to mark a player out of things we later tried it with Ozil as well.
Here we are at Ode and Saka

I don't agree with this.

There was nothing wrong with building the team around Cesc, he has magnificent for us, world class, his performances and numbers prove it.

The issue with Wenger's latter years was doing things half arsed. You had a midfield don in Fabregas who in the season after Henry left got 7 goals and 20 assists in the league, yes 20 assists !!! But paired with Wenger's incompetence at that point we had Almunia as the no1 keeper and Adebayor, injury prone RVP, Lord Bendtner and a very young Theo Walcott up top.

in the 2008/09 season Fabregas got 3 goals and 10 assists in the league, again, Almunia was the no1, we had Silvestre and Djourou begging significant game time, along with Eboue, the midfield had Denilson and Song getting massive game time. Again, the players surrounding him were sub-standard FFS.

in 2009/10 Fabregas got 15 goals and 15 assists in the league, again, that melon Almiunia was no1, we had a midfield of Ramsey, Diaby, Denilson and Song getting the majority of game time, up top we had Eduardo, RVP, Walcott, Lord Bendtner and Arshavin.

In his final season and this I think is the season I went fully Wenger Out we had Flappyhandski, Almunia and Shezza keeping goal, we had Squillaci and Djourou hosting CB duties alongside Koscielny, we still had Song holding midfield and we had RVP and Chamakh up top.

Do you see what I mean when I say it was half arsed ? It was never a full compliment of decent players, it was always hit n miss, never doing enough to be a good team, its why we were so hit n miss and why we used to get slapped up by Chelsea and Man U all the time. You cannot blame Cesc for that, he did the best ANYONE could do while surrounded by dross.
