Last season when we went to Anfield, I warned that slip up here and the league is gone. The trolls attacked me but I was right. Same again this time. Bottle Etihad and the league is gone.

Can't rely on others taking points off City in the run in if we can't do it ourselves

A loss is probably fatal, a draw will do.

Draw is exactly what Liverpool want and it would keep them top

Assuming they beat Brighton in the earlier game which isn't a certainty cos Brighton are a bit of a bogey team of theirs.

Need to win this. Sends a message to City, Liverpool and also Bayern.

Win and the confidence is sky high. For the first time in the reign of terror, fans will be fully behind Arteta.

Lose? We might have to look elsewhere

The intimidation thing only works if we all do it. Manager, staff and players

I don't want to see anyone hugging their players before the game. In the tunnel. Arteta shakes pep hand and that's it. No hug or anything. Saka should tell foden to f**k off. Odegaard just stares a hole in to Haaland.

This is bigger than your international buddies. Let's rip them apart

It is nice to see just how physically imposing our team is.
We seem to be able to handle the rough stuff and play also - just like it used to be in the golden era of the Invincibles.

Rough stuff? I don’t see any rough stuff in football nowadays, it’s all very low impact.

These guys wouldn’t last a minute in the football of 20 years ago, they get way too much protection from the refs nowadays.

We don’t have to handle the rough stuff as it doesn’t exist anymore.

The roughest it gets is a telling off from Steve Holland :rofll:

It’s very obvious that the better Arsenal do the more you hate football.
You’ll be campaigning for it to be banned at this rate if we win the league

Annoys me how Arteta would rather play Jesus over a genuine threat on the wing like Nelson, no Kyle Walker today would have been the perfect game to have a direct and pacy winger.

To make it worse he didn’t even put him in the squad took his boy Nketiah which is stupid considering we already had Jesus, Havertz and Trossard who can all play CF

I think he played Jesus because he is more defensively aware than Nelson and Trossard. Maybe also the reason why he subbed Kiwior with Tomiyasu after Trossard replaced Jesus.

Arteta in or out, he nullified Pep.
Gotta give him kudos for that.
Pep had no ideas. Bringing on Doku isn't an idea. Crossing into Haaland who got out-muscled by Gabriel/Saliba isn't an idea.

And people say that Arteta is clueless when it comes to tactics. That he has no Plan B.. He keeps showing diversity and tactical flexibility.

He can go super defensive (like when we won the FA cup in 2020) and how we played against Man City on Sunday.

He can go super offensive. Like last season (2022/23).

He can go for control possession football like we have done this season.

He blends a bit of Pep, Wenger and Moyes. Because he is a student of those three managers..
