Defending is easy, creating is harder.
So for all the talk of Arteta improving us defensively, anyone and his dog could do that ! The fact that Arteta ruined us offensively in the pursuit of defensive improvement makes my point so perfectly for me ! Another thing, Arteta had to try to find a better balance between attack and defence, look at what happened to our goals conceded when our offence improved ? We conceded more goals. Again, its not rocket science, once you stop being so defensive you leave yourself open for attacks. So Arteta has not solved any riddle, if he had our defence would improve but not at the expense of our attack and vice versa.
What we have actually seen is some of the worst football I have EVER seen from an Arsenal team and a ton load of losses.
It doesn't make your point for you, HH.
The simple question was whether we have improved defensively, which we have.
The reasons why are a separate point and one I would not disagree with - except that we have not done it in the same way Allerdyce does.
You are right, because at least Allardyce's teams have more creativity and shots on goal than we had for at least a third of this season when we have been absolutely shocking.[/quote
