Actually one Arsenal fan also chose Pochettino, the other chose Arteta but admitted a bit of bias.

They also said they’d take Emery over him as well due to his achievements and felt that Emery didn’t get the support Arteta got, sacked quickly whilst Arteta got full support despite two 8th places and also bottling 4th.

Dunno about that Spurs pubber but yeah I would take all the other managers over Arteta.

The reason they chose Pochettino is he made Spurs challengers, got them to a CL final playing good football and also won at PSG, they also thought he’d made a difference at Chelsea already.

De Zerbi was in there due to the style and quality of Brighton but doesn’t have the success so far. Postecoglou has success at other clubs but it’s early days in the PL so far.

Arteta didn’t seem to be rated that highly by opposition fans.

No definitely, financially or in terms of time. Arteta has strolled in with no pressure on him, even after two 8th places.

They backed him again after his rant, I think they wanted Arteta before but didn’t get him so it was convenient for them to get rid of Emery.

Personally don’t like this blind faith in Arteta, he should be held more accountable, reminds me of the Wenger days (although to be fair to him he actually had achieved a lot of success). I think you need to earn support and what Arteta has done shouldn’t be earning many brownie points.

Poch's lustre as a top manager has faded massively since he managed 86 points and a CL final with Spurs.

His career trajectory is a stark warning for Arteta's own. Nobody outside of Arsenal will care that he was top of the league for 200 days or whatever it was.

I don't think a lot of people in Arsenal care either. Top at the end of the season is all that matters

So now that Arteta has been charged by the FA, The club can either cowl down and take it on the chin and burry the heads in the sand and continue on. Or they can dig up every example of pushes holding in the box and every decision awarded or not awarded and force the FA into explaining why there are differences and where the rule book shows such

No, he wasn't but I don't think the club could sack another manager. Maybe that's why they just gave him a load of money to make it work. We're doing OK at the moment, but we'll see.

The reason I have not joined any calls for Arteta to go now or if he doesn't win anything this season is, I want to see what happens at the end of the season.

Im loving being an Arsenal fan right now, wr have our Arsenal back, a competitive Arsenal. But lets not pretend that we are not up against one of the richest clubs in the world, with arguably the best manager of all time playing arguably the best Premier League team of all time.

So I won't be calling for Arteta's head if wr come up short again as long as we gave it a good go, gave it our best shot, that's all we can do. All the hope and expectation in the world won't bridge the gap, we came close, perhaps this season we can make that big step forward. Man City are beatable.

Not gonna lie, I can't see it happening if we are relying on Havertz, Vieira and Nketiah.

Those bottom 3 wouldn't win you the championship I reckon

In his first 18 months before he was sacked for destroying the club and leaving us in ruin, Emery was given about the same money as Arteta was in his first 18 months.

The difference is Arteta won something in his first 18 months and had already started the transformation of the club to save us from the total mess Emery (and Wenger before him) had created.

It was always going to take time, but it’s astonishing just how amazing the turnaround has been.
The Arteta haters are very few and are limited to the humiliated who recognised too late the progress we were making and entrenched themselves so far down that they have no where to turn except to pray we lose games so they can moan.
