At this point, we need trust him more. He's earned it. 2 cups in about a month and little more (?). Looks like he has a steady head above his shoulders.

improved Xhaka, Luiz, Ceballos and AMN within months of arriving.

was disappointed that our league position didn't change but given that FA Cup run plus the motivated nature of the team ahead of what could be our most important PL and EL campaign in years, I'm happy that Arteta is here.

a proper AM and Top 4 and another trophy (EL/FA) is very possible.

There was no reason to not get behind the new manager. So what that he had no experience, he came with fresh ideas and proved immediately that he knew what he wanted and what he was doing. You could tell from his interviews before a ball had even been kicked, had me won over immediately.

He's been fortunate that lockdown happened and he can take stock of everything. No other manager will ever get this. Before it he was a pile of piss and hanging on to his job.

Started after lockdown just as shit with humiliations v city and Brighton. But have picked up since then

Has a long way to go but hopefully he will get there and become the GOAT manager.

What i really liked was that our defenders tried to play football but weren't afraid to put their foot through it when necessary.

Think Arteta has shown all along a willingness to have a mix of styles. He obviously wants to play predominantly possession ball but has switched it up with counter formations and it’s the same regarding playing out from the back. Even though we’ve had a poor record on set pieces, he’s also tried to use a mix of zonal and man marking which I think would work well if the players can pull it off.

Definitely not a rigid manager and I like that.

He's got a big decision to make after we complete our signings.

Do we carry on with the Atletico defend aggressively and hit hard on the counter when we can that he's been doing with the 3-4-3 or does he switch to the elite teams 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 possession football?

We've been doing so well with the current set up we may have a bit of a dodgey start if we switch and don't nail it.

After seeing the likes of Bayern, PSG, Barca, City in the CL I do have my concerns about Arteta's dream of turning us into that sort of team ........... you need the players to dominate in a skill vs skill set up and we don't have players like they do.

Our current set up creates a different battle of defend priority with a sharp counter which means our players don't have to compete in the same way as a PSG vs Madrid do in the middle of the park.

I trust Arteta though, he'll know if its not working and this is really going to be down to what players we can bring in to start the season.
