Depressing finish yet again. Arteta's gonna need to talk to Emery's hair guy if he wants to keep his jet black mane. The roots are graying as we speak.

Quite simply we are now just another run of the mill football team. The poor recruitment over the past few seasons is coming back to haunt us. Arteta has an awful lot of work to do and it’s going to take longer than we want. A total squad rebuild is needed

The horrendous start to Arteta's career as a manager continues. Just 1 win.
Even the closing down and defensive work we started to see when he arrived is fading.

We've been a run of the mill team for close to 10 years.

What we need is a more defensive manager who can help us set up to hold on to a lead :hiding:
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard
???/Havertz

It was going to be a tough job for an experienced manager but for one who has never managed before? Its gone how we all expected to. Its been poor

Whilst over at Everton, the manager we should've got is producing decent performances and results with a squad with minimal talent

You would think some long standing users of this forum would be more patient and rational but their are sadly on same level as trolls like Ach and Özim.

Says the guy who wanted Arsenal to lose every game under Emery so stfu about me being a troll. Not once have I wanted us to lose a game even with this joke in charge.

Can you say the same?

Youre a spud at heart. You were found out couple of months ago so don't make comments you know f all about

Chelsea up next, when Mustafi lies on the ground in our box flailing to clear the ball, infront of Willian & Co in the 1st half....

& the transfer window is still open!

Hopefully Sokratis will play instead.

I'd like an improvement on Xhaka in mid in this window. God pls! #COYG

Im not really pointing fingers though. I will give Mikel the time he needs because we have a shower of shit team and we need atleast 1 summer to get rid of some players. Though i still feel its a mistake to sign up an unexperienced manager at our all time low(well, astleast as long i can remember).

Where i just disagree with some posters that they claimed MASSIVE improvements compared to our game under emery. This is where i disagree.

Piece from Metro News report on Kurzawa....
https://metro.co.uk/2020/01/18/layvin-kurzawa-drops-arsenal-transfer-hint-social-media-12080623/

Arsenal started their game against Sheffield United with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Bukayo Saka as full-backs with Arteta admitting he wants specialist defenders to play instead. ‘We are playing with full-backs that are not full-backs,’ Arteta said on Wednesday. ‘They are wingers or central midfielders and could we afford to lose full-backs? No, but we don’t have any full-backs.’

this is a Manager who cares,.... we don't know the financial situation but this is nice to read,

along with rumors of a DM coming in this Jan Transfer window hopefully to truely help Torreira out.

this is Foward thinking, it will take time, I hope that in the coming weeks Arteta improves the efficiency of the team, optimisies it by

moving on some old players [Musti & Xhaka I pray] & bringing in Improvements! I back the Manager!#COYG

Needed to get the win today, they’re a good team and a simple 1-0 would’ve been a good result to build on.

1 win in 5 league games so far, 6 points from 15, pretty poor return so far.
