'Arsène Wenger is my GQ Man of the Year' says Mark Strong

Who would you say is your Man Of The Year?

Mark Strong : I’m going to go for Arsène Wenger, because the man has put up with so much stick and continues to be graceful in the face of some quite vitriolic abuse. The man changed the English game, and whether or not he’s come to the end of his time shouldn’t result in the level of abuse that he’s had to put up with from some sections of the Arsenal supporters. And I think he’s stayed serene, and calm at the centre of it. The man obviously loves football, and loves Arsenal football club. So I think my man of the year, just for what he’s had to put up with, is Arsène Wenger.

I wish for Wenger to be gone yesterday. Win on Saturday does not mask the fact he has lost the plot.

Ohhhh boohoohoo, cry me a river!

You know which other coaches gets a similar level of abuse? Every single one managing a top team. It's not an Arsenal only thing. Fans have been ultra patient and they finally started to lose it.

This is pathetic beyond means.

Your literally the last man in the saloon who goes for this crap its verging on mental illness.

If you paid me £10-8m a year you could call me a c*** all day as well and I'd be calm ......... I'd just buy my serenity.

Also you say "Look what he's had to put up with" he's lucky to have a job in today's football, the conditions other managers work in would of been sacked by now.

Arsene is the most molly coddled manager this side of the top half of the table.

The fans are just giving him grief because the board won't lift a finger.

Arsene beat WOB's faire and square by
Starting welbz over Alexis. Dont playahate
Otherwise this Thread becomes even More cringy
and dat would be quite a new 'height'

The Boss Arsene is on his job.
So in my eyes we are ready for a good run which may end in a title.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how us beating Bournemouth somehow suggests we're ready to challenge for the title.

We've never been beaten by Bournemouth in the Premier League (4-1-0), and each meeting of the two teams at the Emirates in the league has been an Arsenal win (2-0, 3-1, 3-0). Despite this, we've never gone on to compete for the title. Also, Bournemouth have lost all of their Premier League fixtures so far this season.

Furthermore, why should we draw conclusions based on one game? I bet you object to it when the WOB's seemingly arrive at a conclusion based on one bad result. However, you seem to have no problem doing the same in Wenger's defense. I don't see any reason for you doing so other than bias.

As I've said, I see no reason why some still think Wenger will turn the tables around and challenge for the league this season. There are no signs of it happening.

Win at Chelsea (we haven't won at their place since 2011) we've lost five in a row 2-1, 6-0, 2-0, 2-0, 3-1 .... and then you can dream ... beating B'mouth was necessary but it's not the stuff of titles .....

A logical argument aimed at an illogical thinker. Good luck with that EK, the guy seems to be a bit mental - how beating Bournemouth means we are ready to win the title is something my brain cannot comprehend.
