He is not the manager to be a shining beacon of nobleness, he is there to win football games. His brief is not to create the best academy, although he may argue that his brief is in fact to make the club lots of money - which is at odds to the wishes of most fans.

The great game has moved on, unfortunately, it means traditional ideals, things that made Arsenal "Arsenal" are holding us back. Aint nobody got time to be held back in this day and age.

They are not the things that made Arsenal "Arsenal" when I was growing up in the late 80s and early 90s! The things that are holding us back are "Arsene" things, not "Arsenal" things!

Even trust is youth isn't holding us back imo

Walcott isn't youth. Nor is Welbeck. Nor are our goalkeepers. Nor is most of our defence.

You say that, but I am including Peter Hill-Wood in my comment, not selling out to wealthy foreign investors, being principled in the money that we spent, etc etc. All I have ever known and heard from pundits is that Arsenal are a classy club. Hill-Wood's refusal to move with the times has been more damaging arguably than Wenger being a tight f**k. It drove out David Dein and allowed a prick with a moustache to take control of the club and allow Wenger to be accountable to himself.

Originally Hill-Wood didn't want any part of Kroenke if you remember rightly, he said he didn't want any foreign investment, Dein brought Kroenke in and Hill-Wood kept him at arm's distance initially. It was only when Usmanov started buying up the place that Hill-Wood invited Kroenke on the board and also asked shareholders to agree to not sell their shares for a period of time - a move that prevented Usmanov from picking up more shares. Once that period of time passed Hill-Wood advised the shareholders to sell to Kroenke if they wanted to sell which gave Kroenke the controlling share he currently has.

Wenger in for another five seasons tbh. It's amazing to have extra free time now and not be stressed over Arsenal.

This tbh.

I'm considering pulling a Pudpop and tuning out until Wenger is gone.
