Ramsey is a versatile quality goal scoring midfielder who can tackle and has a bullet proof engine. His ability to make those well timed runs in to the box from the midfield is a huge asset. Funny how a player who is committed and gives his 100% every time he steps on to the pitch is treated with such contempt, it is a pity.

Why is his goal scoring record so dreadful for a goal scoring midfielder then? He scored all of one goal last season in the League, and that too on the last day of the season

Why not talk about this season, when he has played regularly, and scored 3 goals and 6 assists in the league. He has been the linchpin of our midfield this season in the league. Only pure vitriol can prevent someone from disregarding his contribution to our cause,

If Ramsey played under Klopp or Pep he'd be recognised as one of the best midfielders in the league just look at what they've done with the likes of Llalana, Sterling and Delph etc.

Ramsey has the right tools just needs the right coach I order to maximise his capabilities, same can be said for most of squad really players like Bellerin, Welbeck, Chambers etc.

Let's not forget that the weaknesses in his game are as apparent as ever. For example, his lack of positional awareness is still costing us lots of goals. Ramsey has been decent; not great, but decent.

Ramsey is a decent player but a "goal scoring midfielder" he is not .... look at his career numbers not just a season here and there - he's played 345 games and scored 52 ....

His commitment is unquestionable and perhaps he would have done more under a different manager ... we will never know .....

He's not exactly Steven Gerard though is he, if he added back in the defensive side of his game like he did in his breakout season he'd be invaluable but he refuses to do it.

Maybe he'll look better in a 3 man midfield alongside Jack but we'll have to see.

Ideally I'd like Jack, Ramsey and a proper CDM anchoring.

I do think we're willing to accept a bit of a ceiling on our midfield though, there are some great midfielders out there and ours bar some moments of magic from Jack are a bit ...... meh.

Bit like our team at the moment, full of meh.

I agree with the above sentiment that, two things would have helped us get more out of our midfield and midfielders individually.

1] Playing a three man midfield.

2] A more tactically astute manager.

Stamina and injury prone are two different things.

With his speed and injury record, he'd have to be reborn a few times to complete even one race

It does suck he's always injured. But its the same injury every time why is medical team shit?? And not figured out when he's at risk ,why muscle x always fail, how many games he should play. Its clear if he plays 2 hard games he will get injured in the next 2 yet wenger plays him.

Its amateur hour management. Imagine messi at arsenal he would never of had 1 good season. It took rvp 8 years to play a1 whole season ffs.

45 in 05/06
45 in 08/09
