His ability to have a rare class goal doesn't out weigh his averageness in midfield.

Not that rare atm and it would excuse the midfield performance if we put Ramsey in a proper position like CF / CAM.

That's the problem at AFC we get players and don't let them fulfil their potential, we'd rather shoe horn a player into being something he's not.

A bit like when dumb ass AFC fans expect Ozil to be like a CDM.

If Ramsey is going to keep pumping in goals let him take the CAM spot and be done with it, Wilshere just keeps running into dead ends anyway.

You mean play him on the wing? Or in Ozil positions?

But agree with the thinking, yes! He's just a really average CM. Jack is average too, don't get me wrong, but he can control a midfield better. If we could somehow combine the two we may have a wonderful little player that can do both.

I think CAM / CF is his best position if he's going to keep scoring.

I don't think Ramsey is cut out for the wing and at least in the middle he can fold back into midfield and help, Ozil is ok wide attacking mid because he floats around anyway.

We don't really play wingers out wide we play Left or Right attacking forwards.

Agreed, I just wouldn't want him over Ozil though, but if we can fit both in then good.

he needs to start at CM but have essentially a free role

really hard to fit him in but he is pure quality off the ball

Play him the position he played for Wales. This guy is full of offensive runs. Like another gooner has said, Wonga is playing players not in their natural position and not playing to their strengths.

Not really a put him next to a real CDM instead of Xhaka and you'd see the best of him, like 13/14 when he was alongside Flamini who just sat a broke up play and let Ramsey/Ozil do their attacking work.

He is the first name on the teamsheet as far as midfielders go.

Mesut Ozil is the first name on the teamheet after all we are Mesut Ozil FC

Though I'd save sims some time and reply for him, with his typical response.

Can’t understand the hate he receives. The guy is class. When he’s in form our team looks miles better. Arguably our most important player.

Exactly, we really need to offer him a new contract ASAP because starting next season he'll be entering the last year of his contract and we'll have a Sanchez/Ozil situation on our hands which is the last thing we want again, just know that Mourinho/Guardiola/Klopp/Poch would all be sniffing around.

If he'd chosen United, he'd be more a complete player. Fergie would of installed that winning mentality. I was so shocked he chose Arsenal if I'm being honest.
