Ramsey/Xhaka is the way forward (pun intended).

For all of his apparent faults - first touch, positioning, selfishness, etc he is the one midfielder that gives us incisive forward options and yes that means taking risks. Dross in our squad like Walcott, iwobi and Monreal get away with murder and Ramsey gets the haters.

In the past 2 seasons Monreal has been our most improved player, dunno why you are calling him dross.

Don't know about that, Monreal was pretty dreadful for the majority of last season.

Improved when we switched formation though, definitely.

Season before last he was our most consistent performer. Last season he suffered as did all the team (apart from Sanchez) until the formation change where he looked back at his best again. He even chipped in with a goal and had quite a few shots on goal.

He just sounds like a family guy. Judging by his passions I think I'd rather have a conversation with him, over melts like Ox
