One loss or a critical draw, people will have his head. All and sundry.
So Arteta has a long way to go, in fact as long as survives in Arsenal, he'll not rest in peace.

I agree with this - goes for players too - although I think it's a few games maybe 4 or 5 of poor performances.
That's why they get paid the big bucks...there's no room for let up.
We must never go back to Wenger days where he was not held to account for the on field performances just because he used to be successful.

Wenger was great because he would have couple of bad results followed by a strong of victories. He used to say ' it was most critical to arrest the third loss'.
Even if Klopp loses three - four in a row, all his past glories will go out of the window. People will dig out every little shortcomings during his past and will scrutinize.

Didn't Wenger lose 5-1 to Bayern 3 times in a row?

Awful manager.

Wenger had a clear vision during the rebuild days. He knew that 20 wins would more or less ensure a top-4 finish. He talked about being consistent against the sides out of the top-8 as a minimum for a UCL berth. We usually notched up 20-25 wins from 05/06 until 16/17. The exceptions were 06/07 when we had only 19 wins and 10/11 - 19 wins again.

The most number of wins came in 07/08 and 13/14—two seasons where we were closest to the title: 24 wins each.

Even in 16/17, we won 23 games. We won more games than City and Liverpool did that season, but we lost an awful amount of games (10).

On an average, 20 wins ensures top-4 ninety five percent of the time.

Additionally, as you started, he knew how to put the handbrakes on to stop a string of bad results. Every season, we'd have a run of 9-10 games where we'd look like world beaters. It was the lack of consistency that killed our titles hopes.

We actually won more games in 11/12 after Fabregas and Nasri left than we did in the season prior.

Wenger would have been fun for the neutrals in his last 10 years, it was either smash or get smashed, not a lot of fun for the fan wanting consistency though but plenty of entertainment for others.

I remember when Liverpool d*cked us 5-1 and we were a laughing stock, then when we played them at our ground we slapped them 4-1, i was begging for the 5th goal to go in.

No way Jose. Klopp could lose 10 games on the trot his place in Liverpool history and folklore is secure, it would take far more than 4 losses for people to begin to question Klopp

Klopp could finish 8th and he still wouldn't be sacked.

He will get the sack if he loses 10 in a row. But he's a great manager and it'll never get to that. But that's a different argument.

Knew he was full of shit with this ‘legend’ stuff. Mans gone and liked a tweet saying he deserved a club bigger than arsenal for years.

He definitely wanted to leave and just got no offers for the same $$$$ at the time lmao.

I don't care why he stayed as long as he always gives 110% and keeps it up

Disrespectful though tryna put himself up there with wrighty, Dennis and titi when he clearly thinks he’s bigger than this club. Poor wrighty as well, the way he acted like a little Auba fan girl in the video

Oh well, 40 goals this season please Auba, then you can get your Barca dream (lol 8-2) for 60m.

I didn't like the way Wrighty was acting like a fan in the video. He's way bigger and more important to Arsenal than Auba.

But still if Auba continued scoring like he did the last 2,5 seasons, I'll continue to like him even if he only stayed for the money and lack of offers.

If thats what he said he is deluded!! He scores goals, thats it, he is shit at everything else. To play for Real and Barca you need to be a more complete player, those clubs don't accept players that have big deficiencies.

Yeah fair mate. Just think it's rubbing it in to say you wanted to become a legend here when clearly you didn't.

Like you say, if he keeps scoring and it helps us then end of the day won't care but he's certainly not gonna be a legend or close to those 3 for me.

Impressive how Twitter runs people's views on players.

I make my own mind up though and he's a legend already. Best striker in the league whose played out of position and he still performs.

Could've gone to any club on the planet and be first choice bar maybe Bayern cos of lewa but walks in the rest of the sides.

But he stayed. He stayed cos he wanted a legacy. He saw how RVP was finished within 2 years after he left us. He didn't want that.

Legend.
