Aubameyang really needs to get more involved in the build up.

Aubameyang isn't the type of player who will hold the ball up, win the ball back by pressing from the front, link play with the other midfielders/wide players or create dozens of chances for others out of nothing (like van Persie could) . His passing and ability to carry the ball forward isn't all that, in my opinion. But he makes excellent runs in behind defences and knows how to create space for himself in the penalty area. He knows where to position himself, which is why he gets so many goalscoring opportunities.

He's the best finisher we have in the squad, despite some of his mishaps in recent weeks.

Scored the winner today and should have had an assist too, were it not for Mkhitaryan's lack of composure.

The only minor criticism from today is that he sometimes drifts too far wide. Maybe he does that to drag defenders out of position and wants someone from midfield to run into the space he vacates, but like I said, he's the best finisher we have. As Lacazette was injured, we had no-one with Auba's positional sense or poaching abilities when he wasn't in the box. This was more of an issue in the first half than the second half, though. Part of which was because Kolasinac kept meandering in and out of position at LWB.

Missed a couple of sitters though. Should have 12-15 by now instead of 8 only. Mikhi shows lack of confidence. He needs to regain his Form if we intend to make it into the top four and win a cup or two.

He can still score when not having a good game which is always a sign of a good striker. We just need to work out how to get the best out of him consistently.

I noticed on Sunday he made a few really good runs and a counter was on but we just struggled to get the ball up the pitch.

In his last four games he took 13 shots and ended with 1 on target (the goal against Bournemouth) to put that into perspective. :frogwink:

Did anyone know some c*nt threw a banana at Auba from the Spurs fans!!!

Guy should of been bottled.

Just found that out on MOTD, what a disgrace, how can a fan do something like that, imagine how that must make their own Spurs players feel.

There's always going to be c**** within all clubs support. We've probably got a couple too.

Don't really pay too much mind to it, as I know spurs will deal with this guy hard. Obvs disgusting, but a club can't control individuals behaviour, the only thing they can do is administer proper repocussions for the guilty and I have no doubt they will, especially given their history and wider base.

Hope that banana was worth the guy having this as the last live scum game he'll ever see.

d***head.

PEA is in golden boot pole position by 2 goals by the way.

Somehow people don't rate him.

Baffling.
