Just sell him and bring back Nketiah from loan tbh.

Should have sold him to man u, how good would that have been

Almost as good as if we’d taken your recommendation to sign Chris Samba and Seb Frey

We all have our clangers.

I think Soldado is at a great age, his positioning and timing of runs is great and he is a natural goalscorer. Valencia are short on cash and this could be a possibility if RVP leaves. Would cost around £15million

What's everyones take on Auba's contract.

His runs out in 2021 and if the management are going to stick to the game plan, he needs to sign now or he'll be off loaded.

What's your take?

Me personally I love Auba, he's an amazing goal scorer but honestly .......... if he doesn't sign then I'm sick of players trying to stiff us and run down their contract like Ramsey did.

If the club knew he wasn't going to sign and sold him then I'd have to back the club.

I'm sure he'll sign but his agent must be whispering in his ear about a zero sale fee bumper transfer for his retirement?

PS - Auba jumped on to AFTV's Instgram and live chatted with them, how good is he, great player.

^ if he doesn't sign, I'd sell him next summer for 50m and invest the money in a starting winger and a back up striker for Laca (Yes, we will need more than 50m)

And it would be a great loss, but as DG said we can't afford to lose valuable assets for free anymore.
Not selling Ramsey, Wilshere and some other players, when we had a chance, was a huge mistake.

Telegraph say we’re going to offer him a deal that’ll see him near Ozil’s earnings through bonuses if we finish in the CL; with optimism than an agreement can be reached

Auba will age like a fine wine, imperative this happens

Aruba should be good for at least two more years. So he should be offered a shorter deal for another two. Top strikers are hard to come by, and like Ronaldo , Manzukic, RVP and Rooney, they are good until mid 30s.Plus, he is not injury prone.

Fine with large wages for Auba, worried about the long term

I actually agree with this guys point.

I guess the thinking is by 2021 we'll have Ozil and Mkhitaryan's wages off the books so we can go big for deals on Lacazette and Aubameyang. It is a tad troubling but I trust Raul and Vinai's judgement on this.

They don't have much choice if they want them to sign and not have to gamble on buying another player who prob won't score as much.

Auba will be in a predicament in 2 years time as he'll be 32, he can either run down his contract and get a Ramsey style zero fee so extra wages deal or res-sign with AFC.

We're basically taking that first attractive option off the table by saying sign or be sold, and with him coming off a Golden boot year Auba know's they're serious, as we'll never get as much for him as we can right now.

Best scenario is that he just signs back on, its his and Laca's team anyway.
