Shot to goals ratio is not a great statistic to assess a strikers finishing - for obvious reasons.
It depends entirely on where shots are being taken from. A striker who tends to shoot less often from long range is more likely to have a better shots to goals ratio.
Far more important is the number of big chances a striker gets where he would be expected to score compared to how many he converts.
Auba does have a great goal in his locker, no doubt. However, he misses far too many chances that he should score.
Last year Auba had 45 big chances in the league to score a goal and he converted 22 of them.

Kane 17/28
I could go on, but of the top 20 goalscorers in the league, Auba had the worst conversion rate of big chances.
I'd like to see him improve that this season - a lot.
