Unfortunately by the time we got them, the rest of the team went on a decline and the rest of the league, especially the top teams, grew considerably stronger.

We would have won a couple of league titles if Wenger had made a move for these two much earlier than he had.

Im not sure about that upon reflection. Scoring goals was never a problem for Wenger teams, defending has been the issue. We could've had Messi up top, you can't concede the number of goals we do and expect to win anything significant.

We actually had some seasons where our defense was ok. Years of Giroud as the main striker is what did us in the last couple of seasons because it meant our goals would always be limited. Had we had players like Messi up front alongside sufficient backup like Sánchez, peak Cazorla, and a younger Ozil, we’d be out scoring opponents easily regardless of our poor defense. The only reason we are still struggling a bit wrt wins right now is because Lacazette is not a Messi tier forward and although we have PEA for support the other players are so average or well below average that our overall play reflects that side more than what Lacazette and PEA could potentially offer together in a better team.

Our scoring drought in the middle of the season cost us the title the year LCFC won it.

15 games without a goal, was it?

And Giroud fans cry when Auba goes 15 minutes without one

I hope we keep him and Lacazette now we are confirmed Europa with minimal budget. If either of them leave we stand no chance of a top 4 push next year.

He isn't a striker, he needs to play LWF. He is best coming in from the left.

He’s a poacher don’t know what people expect tbh. No service no goals. Shame our WC playmaker Özil has 2 assists the entire season.

He's the reason we were in the final in the first place.
You can't always rely on 2 players to win your games.

Good player but runs hot and cold a lot. I almost wish he wasn't so good at being on the end of so many gold plated chances

Massive decisions have to be made. Ruthless means being ruthless. Decisions like Aubameyang is 30 and has market value and can make his 60 million - would you take that if it meant contributing to a good winger and centre back? These are the kind of questions that need answering

Yep, sell. If he was consistently good and was a genuine threat game after game for opponents a la the likes of Henry, then I'd want to keep him at all costs but he's not. He's hit and miss and at 30 he's an obvious sell. Get £60m and help rebuild the team, which needs a lot of work.
Ozil also - sell.

Rebuild.

Not true. He gets plenty of chances and misses a lot.

What difference would £60m have made in terms of our transfer activity in summer 2017 had we sold Sanchez to City? We would have bought Atletico flop Thomas Lemar, that's it. 3 goals in 31 apps in the 18/19 season.

We still bought the players we needed to buy, ie strikers who were better than Giroud.

I can't support talk about selling a Golden Boot striker when there are players that eat up £28m in wages each year (Ozil and Mhiki) and don't contribute shit.

Well if Auba didn't miss easy chances, made runs so players could give him the ball in good positions and could hold up the ball/had interplay and didn't look totally wank all the time, he may have scored more goals and Ozil might have had more assists!!
