That's fair enough.

But you want Giroud. Now tell me how he's done this season. You can add the World Cup if you want.

No World Cup, complete rest and he's come out this year looking lightweight and completely off the pace in the PL. 2 goals in 7 starts and a hatful of missed chances. His hold up play is probably the worst of any of our strikers - poor control and easily brushed off the ball. How long should he be given before being relegated to the subs bench???

As long as Giroud had when he went 12 games without a goal for us?

Fair's, fair.

Although I don't think our new manager would put up with that level of incompetence, fortunately Auba is getting used to playing out of position and is still bagging goals, he has 4 this season right?

It's quite simple, Auba is less shit out wide with Laca up front than Laca would be out wide with Auba up front. Hence, while Laca is in form he gets the ST role.

Auba will bang them in eventually but he's not well suited to Emery's style so far imo.

Take away penalties and he's tied first with Aguero

Doing a bit of a Giroud though, bit naff when starting but ripping it from the bench. Hopefully can start nailing down a spot on one wing.

If we are going to keep playing 4231, which we will because Emery only ever plays that system, then the left suits Aubameyang. He can effectively play the Henry role when he was at Barca. It's not ideal but both him and Lacazette need to be in the team and it's not like we have any good wingers anyway

............. even though all these goals bar two have come from LWF?

Strange thing to say.

We can't bench Laca it will effect his confidence and we need him and those shots of his in top gear, that's not to say he can't be benched for the odd game but Auba's plays better around the box anyway, Laca is a box striker.

I don't like Peas all round game out wide, think he is better than Laca as a goalscorer, even out of position he is scoring more, either play him cf or play them together but that would probably require a complete change of system.

The one thing we haven't rectified yet under Emery is players out of position, Pea iwobi, mkhy, ozil playing out wide Ramsey as a 10, very Wenger like if he wants to be really successful here he needs to change that long term.

He is a true poacher. He senses early where the ball might be headed and then is the first to make himself available.

I know he had two tap ins against Leicester, but watch his movement right before the play develops...

Always following the path of the ball while keeping himself barely onside, and then as soon as he realizes that the ball will be released his way, he makes a sprint. The defenders were no where close.

Also, super reaction for the goal against CP.
