Not only is his goals output a joke but he is a passenger because he offers absolutely nothing else other than goals - and he's not even doing that.

Should have started centrally today with Saka on the left and Pepe on the right. I'm so tired of the shit rationalizations about why he needs to play on the wing. He's not a winger. He contributes nothing from the wing other than when he cuts in and tries a shot on goal and as a percentage of his goals that's maybe what, 10-15%? I'd gladly trade that for the contribution of a proper winger, and I reckon he'd score just as much centrally anyway.

He played wide last year.
Last year when he played on the wing the MAJORITY of his shots were central - NOT from cutting in. In fact he gets MORE shots off from central positions than when he plays centrally. That's a fact.

He's been utterly sh*t this year.

This is what I was afraid of.
Auba didn't actually score that many goals - 22 PL goals a season is good but not great. That's been his peak and he'll be 32 at the end of this season.
It was a crazy decision to pay him so much money.

He played the PR game beautifully - Arteta can't drop him without looking like a complete idiot.
