I still don't think Auba wants to leave Arsenal, just a gut feeling I have, I think he really enjoys life here.

Very few top footballers stick around because they enjoy life somewhere, at the end of the day when their career is over they want to be able to point their winners medals, Aubameyang at his age will no doubt be thinking about that right now and Arsenal isn't the right club for him on that basis as we won't be winning anything for the foreseeable future.

The other reason they might stick around is big money, but again we can't afford that and in todays' world even less so.

Not sure if people have seen this, but MTV featured his house and his family in London on web episode of Cribs a couple of days ago. Likely shot pre-COVID, probably doesn't mean anything, but still:

That was very cool. Love the man, but I suspect he has fun no matter where he lives or plays.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... n-new-deal

Reads as if he's given the club a van persie style 'show me your ambition if you want me to stay' ultimatum.

I read it like that too.

He's as good as gone if that is the case.

Running out of options to get a decent fee for him outside the PL. Will never forgive the club if they sell to a domestic rival.

He did that vs Brighton last year.

He's gone and still holding out on a miracle we get Top 4 out of respect the season hasn't finished yet.

All in all been a quality player for us but we didn't get to the level to.move forward with him

I just don’t see how he gets a 300-400k per week contract and a 20-30 mil transfer fee right now. He’s also turning 31. Not the same situation as RVP. Perhaps the best we can hope for is keep him for one more year and then let him leave on a free.

Auba - Lautaro - Messi

MLA.

Would have happened if Barca weren't challenging us for lack of ambition, and retarded management.

Which clubs could possibly acquire him? Inter, PSG? United? After Alexis, United might steer clear.

PSG looks like the likeliest option. Inter would be in for him if Lautaro leaves.

Heck, at this stage, I think Real might be interested too.

Didn't PSG just buy Icardi for €50MM + €7MM in add-ons? I don't know if they'd be able to purchase Auba without selling first.
