He's never played for a big club and is totally unproven at this level, same as Lacazette. Both have stepped up a level and both look rubbish.
I'd take Giroud over them any day.
Giroud had 5 years to bed in here, you do realise he scored less than Laca in his first season.
These guys will be fine once we get out of this lull, two hidings from the best club in Prem isn't helping, we need some tune up matches.
Both our strikers haven't even played one season here yet.
I hate hearing about all this 'adjustment' nonsense. They are not coming from rugby, it's football. Sure there might be a few games to get used to the physicality of the PL, but even then that is somewhat in the past. Its' nothing like it was. Even when the PL was significantly different to, say, La Liga, top players came in and starred in their first season. Hell, Van Nistelrooy scored 36 goals in his first season. Henry banged in 26 in first season. Aguero scored 30 in his first season. Players like Bergkamp took a few games, not a season. Henry a few games. Even then you could see their class from the moment they touched the ball. Vieira was a star from the 1st minute he came on as a kid. This excuse of 'settling time' is such a load of horse manure.
Lacazette and Aubamayang are not even close to that class and are just another downgrade on the players of the not too distant past - a massive downgrade. RVP was streets ahead of them. Anelka better than both of them. Even our first big downgrade, Adebayor, was better than both of them.
