If Raul Sanllehi stays true to his word, we won't allow a player to enter the last 12 months of his contract ever again. That means this will be Aubameyang's last season at the club unless he sign an extension in the next few months.

What makes the situation trickier is that we won't have the money to replace him without Champions League football. If we sell him, we're unlikely to get more than £30m. Lacazette won't be the answer because he is in the same situation. It looks like we'll have to sell both our strikers, which may give us £80m at best. We need to spend most of that money in other players, however.

Even though it will hurt us a lot, we'll have to sell Aubameyang to the highest bidder. At least we can start rebuilding the team sooner than later.

I'm sure we can sell him if he's under contract?

Can a player refuse to sign if their under contract with more than 12 months and we sell them to another club?

A player cannot be forced to join another club, the 3 parties need to agree - Arsenal, the player and the buying club. All Auba needs to do is refuse to sign for the new club, nobody can make him.

It would be wiser to let him go for free unless he really pushes for it. Financially, I can see someone lodging a huge bid for him this month. If we keep him until the summer, we won't get more than £50m for him.

It's the same situation as Alexis. And like Alexis, I can see one of ManU or Chelsea bid for him. Barca is the other club.

Do a deal with Barca for Dembele. That is one gorgeous player.

If he goes to summer it will be like RVP all over again, no way we will get anywhere near £50m if he is in his last year

Man City bid 60m for Alexis in a similar situation. We can get 50m imho.

Do prefer 60 mil to 30 goals? I would have Van Persie w/ 30 goals for us instead of 25 mil that year, any time. We could have been champs.
Same w/ Auba. Keep him as long as we can.

The 30-year-old wrote: “I would also like to react to some of the rumours that are going around about me in the media.

“People like making up stories and they should focus on what’s happening on the pitch. They talk too much and it does my head in!

“I am the Arsenal captain. I love this club. I am committed to it and desperate to bring it back to the top, where it belongs.”

........... I suggest we leave it at that for now, as I said, wasn't going to go anywhere this season anyway.

Not bothered about his sending off today - hopefully Martinelli will now get starts as he's better than Auba in every regard.

You have to forgive Santi. He hates players with end product and goals.
