I'm still a fan of Auba, I think the system has stunk up the place and thats the reason so many players have been out of form - Auba perhaps having a hangover from personal issues. He still scored a lot of goals considering he has been so very shit, so imagine his numbers if he even has a semblence of form !!

ESR is in his first pro season, Ode is on loan in England for the first time and even Saka is a teenager in his second season. That lack of experience matters. We also have nobody able to pick his runs from deep. I don’t understand why you’ll don’t factor all this in.

Auba would be better / back to normal if he had a manager who realised he is most productive as a LF.

The evidence for it is massive, Auba is not a lone CF.

Some people may wonder if there is much difference but there is, Auba's strength is bearing down on goal from just outside the box from the left and entering the box at the crucial moment, its how he scores a majority of his goals.

He has never been very productive hanging in the centre of the box.

CF: 296 games, 184 goals
LF: 73 games, 42 goals

That was at Dortmund.

Now do the same stats from his time at AFC only and the picture would look completely different.

Those stats are his entire career, not just Dortmund.

At Arsenal...
CF: 88 games, 49 goals
LF: 46 games, 31 goals

I know it is, that's what I'm saying, don't use the stats for Dortmund as they don't mean anything in this context.

At AFC his ratio is miles better, almost twice as good at playing from LWF / LF.

Your stats show that.

If we played a front 3 like Liverpool then Auba should play on the Left of the 3 like Mane does, he'd be insane from that position.

LW isn't right for him because he has to do too much tracking back.

He has to play on the left and he has to play as a forward. Anything else is just crazy talk.

10 PL goals all season.
Shocking.

If we can't offload him, should be back up to Martinelli on the left next year.
Would rather we built towards the future.

Who would buy him, we had to pay most of Ozil wages for someone to take him, it’ll be the same with Auba

Realistically no one.
So be it... he can still be useful as a backup to Martinelli - IF he accepts that position. The worry is that he throws his toys out of the pram when he realises he is nowhere near being the main man for this club.
