Yea, more balanced would be

PEA - Laca - Nico
Ceballos
Torreira - Guendouzi

Offensively that line up would give teams licks!! "Licks" for non-black people means "a beating"

Got to be one of these two:

Lacazette

or

SKorNM--Sokratis--Chambers--Niles
Leno
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???

Hopefully that two holding CM trend goes away soon. Never was a fan.

Ceballos is better as a CM even if he can play as a CAM.

Slotting him there is like playing Modric as a CAM. Have no idea why Gooners continue to wish for a lopsided midfield despite having a great midfield in the offering.

Just bring back Ramsey to satiate the desire, I guess? Might as well play the defensively stable: Guendouzi - Xhaka - Torreira.

Id like him to be our cam because:

1) We do not have a good CAM. Ceballos has shown till he is very good going forward.

2) we do have a good duo for cm/dm with geundouzi - torreira

In that case, we don't need a specialist CAM.

We could play 4-3-3. Top teams don't cower around and play with two DMs.

The greatest midfield trio of our generation: Xavi - Busi - Iniesta.

Man City's starting midfield: Silva - 'Dinho - KDB.

Real's 3x UCL winning side: Kroos - Casemiro - Modric.

Gooners' wet dream: Guendouzi - Xhaka - Torreira.

I know what doesn't fit.

4-3-3 is the only way.

I'm fine with Ceballos - Torreira - Guendouzi.

But your Don isn't going to drop legend Xhaka when he's fit.

Ideally, I'd play Ozil in front of Ceballos and Torreira.

Until our defense is sorted out, I think we need to go with this all attacking setup to blitz the opposition.

Turn the offense into defense..

Why does he need to be played as a CAM? He played as a CM against Burnley and got 2 assists, why does it need to change?

Because neither willock, miki or ozil are going to cut it against better teams. Deploying guendouzi and torrito behind ceballos will give him the freedom to do whatever he wants. He might be better as a cm, however in my opinion the team is better if he plays cam.

Unless suddenly ozil or miki finds form, its the way to go imo

^ we could also play a flexible 4-3-3, Guendouzi and Torreira are not that bad going forward. Let them interchange positions with Ceballos.
We don't need a traditional CAM, many teams work perfectly without them.
