Shit foul, perhaps. But "shit player"? Please...

The red card is not that bad.

Auba needed a rest anyway and Martinelli can get some more game time now.

So he misses Sheff utd, Chelsea and Bournemouth.

League games were tough enough with him. Will have to go beyond anything these players are capable of without him to get anything. Might take Bournemouth to a replay

Such a high quality player. Up there with Henry and RVP in quality.

Unlucky with the red card, unfortunately we can't really argue with it. There was no malice or intent, just a load of bad luck.

Last player to score and get sent off? Arteta
Last team against? Palace
Last ground where it happened? Selhurst Park
Auba could be our future manager at this rate.

I disagree. It was a malicious challenge by Auba. He was pissed off and knew what he was doing. Having seen Arsenal players having their legs broken by malicious challenges over the years, this was a similar one.

TBH, If that challenge had been made on Auba, I'd have been looking for the guy to get shot!

Auba needs to change his attitude. He's captain and should not be losing the head on the pitch. It sends the wrong signal to the rest of the team. Also, his sending off cost us in terms of trying to beat an appalling Palace team.

Hopefully he will learn from this as he's only recently become captain.

I still feel like this has been a wasted season for Auba. He's been played wide far too often to accommodate Pepe and Laca, both of whom are having bad runs of form.

Next three games will tell us whether we can sell him in summer or let him run down his contract.

It would send the wrong message to potential recruits if we sold our best player now.

We are in (what passes for) a crisis by this club's standards. Only sell, ONLY sell, if it is to fund another forward of equally high profile coming in.... and even then, only if we have funds to in addition address our obviously weak areas.
