Sounds like he was useless at cf but I’m sure it’s because of the service ?

That's partly because none of our forwards have any idea how to hold up a ball - Auba included - he touched the ball just ten times and only managed to make six passes in the 59 minutes he was on .... sure not a lot he could do to get a win but he could have done a lot more than he did to help the team. He only touched the ball twice in our own half, clearly helping out the defence was never on his mind.

Replace him with prime Giroud and the result would have been exactly the same.

Don't remember him contributing much when we lost 6-0 to Chelsea or 5-1 to Pool.

Useless and also petulant today.
Whining and throwing the ball around in a huff, didn't put the effort in and in no way led the team.

The signs are still that this level is just too much for him.

We really need to sign a striker to help out Lacazette before the window closes.

Twatter now putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with the AFC Bell tweet being about Auba to Barca.

What's too much for him is your sht manager.

If any of our players aren't fed up by now (the ones who've been here a while) then they're only here for a pay cheque.

Auba has standards, this isn't it and he know's it.

By the way that whining and tantrums worked for Xhaka.

If Auba has standards then he didn't meet them last year.
Do you mean Arsenal's manager?
I don't have one, I am self-employed and semi-retired.

Auba is a poor player in a poor side - he's a good player in a good side - his whole career demonstrates that. Whilst he's about as useful as a chocolate teapot at the moment, that's as much on our club and Arteta as on him .... he can't hold up the ball, he doesn't defend but then everyone knows he never could.

Wasn't the same thing said about Ozil?
Ozil needs a good team playing well around him to bring out the best in him... that was always the case but it was not acceptable to some (including you i think? Not sure about that).

Auba is the captain, highest-paid player and our star player apparently. It is he who should be lifting the team with his performances, no?
