Lovely penalty - hopefully now the penalty can kick start things for him.

Class pen, not very confident with him on them tbh but that was great.

Still don’t get why he gets preference over Laca who was a great pen taker at Lyon but hey.

He's been pretty solid since he missed against Spurs, think he's scored them all.

But again, the front three balance needs addressing.

Agreed.

I think he needs to float inside more to support Laca who's left too isolated, Auba needs to let Saka overlap more and get in the box.

Our team performance was better than the score line, we need more from our front 3, if they can start causing havoc like Liverpool's front 3 we'd be top 4 with this midfield and defense.

Agreed.

but let's be honest, does Auba work as hard as any of Liverpool's front 3?

Is Laca as ruthless as Salah in front of goal?

Is WIllian as intelligent in pulling defenders out of position as any of Liverpool's front 3?

Again, i'm taking it that the 3 above are our front 3!! I don't rate Pepe...never will.

In respect of yesterday, Auba was for the most part rubbish. That said he scored a peno and we won. ;) ;)

Happy days - I couldn't care less if he plays that poorly every week and scores one goal. That's what were paying him for!! :sneaky2:

He also missed against Norwich but got a retake and has missed 3 total since he joined. Not awful but just never love him stepping up, just a feeling I still get.

Plus think Laca needs the goals so he should take them.

I don’t think anyone can really hide from the fact he’s been terrible since he signed his big money contact

What's the actual point of playing him on the left?
