Certainly not the legend he boasted about.
Poor finishing compensated by good movement that gave him lots of chances to score.
2.5 good years.
Took his foot off the gas and let the fans down with 1.5 abysmal years.
Ended up nothing special over his a Arsenal career. Very average.

Hope his health improves. That is the main thing for him.
But, excellent news for us if he’s off.

He never said he was a legend. He said he wanted to be one. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But agendas have to be met.

Brilliant for us in a time where relegation was a possibility. Not only did he save us from that, he won us a trophy single handedly.

Got no bad words.

If this is to be the end, let's make it such an end worthy of remembrance

I read something along the lines of over the past 5 years he's top in terms of winning points for a team with his goals so it was the right decision to give him a contract at the time.

The sudden drop off is mind boggling though.

Yup it's true. Giving him the contract was never the wrong decision.

It's a shame he dropped off for whatever reason.

I did a points calculation with and without him a while back. There was almost no difference.
I also think that might be true for goals per game too.
Might do that analysis.

One of the best strikers around in the last decade

Let's hope we get someone good to replace him instead of a Giroud that we got to replace rvp

Giroud had better numbers than Auba.

Auba's heart is fine. Medical checks done and dusted. He's healthy.

Great news. Hopefully this second chance at life has got his head right and he does what he does best

Legend status still possible

You make it sound like a heroic fight for life, LOL.
He got covid whilst he was out partying, let his country down by being unavailable and has had to come home.
There's nothing wrong with him. Turns out the 'heart lesions' were nothing.

So now he's back to the same place. Shape up, ideally apologise, get better - or f**k off.

Not with the manager trying to force him out to prove a point.

It's written in the stars.

Discarded player, mong manager, survives near death experience. New leash of life.

Is it time he becomes our saviour once more? Saved our 19/20 season. We need him once more to do it again

Someone light the Auba version of the bat signal

He has a good record v Burnley as well iirc. Surely can't be worse than lackofgoalsazette

Auba - 68 PL goals
Laca - 53 PL goals

Last 2 seasons

Auba - 14 goals
Laca - 16 goals

Not as much in it as you think.
Auba's goal scoring record in the PL is actually quite average.

Given the rest of their games, Laca is always the better choice.
