His football was meh but then the whole team was dross - the problem is this is our club captain, when we're playing shit he's the guy who should be getting the other players going, but he's totally invisible - strip him of the captaincy and he's another Ozil sulking his way through 300k a week whilst his contract runs down with nobody remotely interested in paying his wages.

The only option is to get rid - for free - even with a payoff ... keeping him around will just stink up the club, I don't blame Auba he was offered to much money, made captain when he clearly isn't one, and took the chances offered ... but now he has to go.
