You have 3 players that are capable of producing great numbers, in my view we should be taking full advantage of it, there is no guarantee that any replacement will do any better and to get better will cost us big bucks.

I know what you're saying and you are right we need to get the best out of them, but it's a near certainty that at least two of them won't be here for the next few seasons. In two years Ozil and Auba will be 32 and both out of contract, only Lacca is a long term option.

You keep saying we have 3 players that are capable of producing great numbers, blindly ignoring the fact they've been together now for over a year and yet we're still playing EL football and chasing a fourth place, where are these great numbers? Let's face it Ozil, and probably Auba as well, are extremely unlikely to get any better, even avoiding injury father time alone will see their levels drop.

You're right there is no guarantee any replacements will do any better not today, not this season, and maybe even next season. But 100% a replacement for Ozil and Auba will have to be found, so better we bring in a 23-28 year old now with at least a full five years ahead of him, rather than scrabble around for an instant fix in eighteen months time.

We need a proper long term plan, it's not rocket science, City did it with cash but it still took two years, Liverpool did it over three seasons, Spurs did it over five seasons ... it's simply not reasonable to expect Emery to do it straight away especially based on the same players, in this case AOL, who as good as they may be have so far failed to deliver any real improvement.

Great shift today, including some good tackles.

Didn’t score but one of his best games for us and if that overhead kick went in...f**k me I would’ve been escorted out the ground for getting my cock out.

Good game with some key challenges a defender would be proud of, all that was lacking was that goal that he deserved. I agree with the poster above about it being one of his best game for us,

I've changed my mind. I would sell him for £80m (in a hypothetical scenario that will never happen) and use that money to bring in someone just as good but youngeer, like Timo Werner who will probably go to Madrid or Bayern in the summer.

I really like Auba but he is so frustrating. He's been here a year now and we all know he has pace but when has he actually shown that in an Arsenal shirt? Was talking to my mate last night who's an ex british youth sprinter and he reckons that Auba's hamstrings aren't letting him run at top speed any more and his searing pace will never be the same

AFC too busy passing triangles in our own end to relase him with a long through ball...

Nah.

The guys a goal machine and is committed to AFC, very happy with him and Laca, with a solid midfield and a good defence we can go far with them.

I'm not about to swap the highest scorer in the premier league for anyone, we're lucky to have him.

But people need to start realising, he is a striker .......... not a winger, when some moan about his lack of overall production remember, he's a make shift WF, he's not actually a winger.

'I'd sell him and buy someone just as good but younger'

Yeah mate, the only younger player with a record comparable to Auba is Harry Kane.

See, this is what I don't get! People can make excuses for others or see that players are not being played correctly. But when it comes to Ozil its a different matter because he is on £350k per week

It would be nice if more people supported Ozil instead if scape goating him every f***ing game.

Sorry I didn't know the award was given for top scorer sans penalties. My mistake.

I think it should tbf, would be an interesting new rule

Or pen goals only count if they won the pens themselves
