Auba speeds up the game. The minute he came on the game got faster more penetrative. Shame he can’t play on Thursday.

One of two genuine world-class players we have.

Unreal.

Cannot wait to see ...........

Ramsey, Aubamaeyang, Lacazette, Ozil, Mkitarayan all get a season together next year.

Dare I say current form Welbeck to add to it is well.

If we get a good DM and CB's we'll have a good team next season, no doubt.

They'll be exciting to watch that's for sure, but as you've said, we need to sure up that defense. Kos and Merte both need to be replaced and Bellerin needs some competition on the right side. As for DM, I still think Xhaka is our guy and Neny is a good squad player.

Any reason as to why he didn't start other than wengers ineptness seeing as he won't be playing Thursday?

I think its more Elneny and one more proper DM.

Issue with Xhaka is he doesn't like holding the line and screening the defenders, he's more offensive minded similar to Ramsey, Elneny is the only one who takes responsibility for defending.

I just think its simply he wanted the guys playing to get some synergy and practice in before thursday, I had the same reaction as you initially but when I think of it I kind of agree with the decision.
............ however, why Iwobi was on instead of Auba is completely different story.

Iwobi may have to start on Thursday, thats why.

Miki is confirmed out.

Ozil is ill.

Not sure why Auba not starting yesterday was such a big deal.

That's what training is for and both Welbeck and Iwobi have been at this club enough for Wenger and each other to know what they play like.

A ludicrous decision but expected from the senile one
