Mourinho does this and GW hails him as a genius with his billion pound squad.

You lot spend every waking moment going over how shit we are and are then surprised when we don't do well against mega teams? Lol

We all know Wenger and co aren't going to spend to force us into top tier, why are you surprised we didn't beat the champions when you were all predicting a demolition?

A lot of the same posters are claiming we'll struggle against the likes of BATE etc in the EL.

Make your mind up. Are we shite or should we be handling the champions like kids?

Well actually the WKB's are hailing it as the 2nd coming.

All this talk your referring to are cooler heads keeping their overstated gloating in check.

I already said Mourhino has played this way over the years and again already said if we intend to do it then we need to do it properly, consistently and buy the players to fit the bill.

I already mentioned that Treble Inter Millan were one of my all time favourite teams and was Mourhino's master class, Italian league was a marriage made in heaven for him because the disciplined Italian style of football was already inherent in the players, way more suited than the Spanish Tikka Taka or flair play he went to with Real Madrid.

However we don't know if this was a one off tactical switch for an overpowering Chelsea or if this will be a regular game plan, will find out next game.

This reminds me of debates between the "extreme right" and the "extreme left". You don't get anywhere with extremes. They are niches for the minority while the majority, leaning toward the middle, are silenced and voiceless. It doesn't help either when anything the team does (match results, transfers, social media, etc) is used by either sides to push their "Wenger Out" or "Wenger in" agendas

the fact that wenger splits up the fan base and sets a toxic community is enough for him to be fired if you ask me.

To win the EPL may well be 90+ points (Chelsea 93 / Leicester 81 / Chelsea 87) ... that means we can only drop 25 and have any realistic chance, we've already dropped 8 ... doesn't matter who you drop points against it's just the points that matter ....

Agree that the points is all that matters in the end but I think who you drop points against is somewhat important. Manchester City, for example, will be fully expecting 3 points at home against the likes of Brighton and anything less would be seen as more detrimental to their chances than dropping points to the likes of Manchester United away. In our case, The 3 points dropped against stoke could have easily been avoided. The 3 dropped against Liverpool possibly could have been avoided. And the 2 points dropped against Chelsea should be seen as 1 point gained imho. If we miss out on winning the league by a few points,I'd point at the Liverpool and stoke games first before I even looked at the Chelsea game.

Elite killer has a point. No two ways about it. We've already dropped our share of unnecessary points.

Agreed but we can still win the league despite the current situation. It's just that we've given ourselves more work to do the way we dropped points against stoke and Liverpool in particular. The way we make up the dropped points imo is that we have to either win at least one tough away fixture or just not lose any of our remaining away fixtures against the top 6 sides. All this assuming we win the games we're supposed to win of course. We do this and we end up on around 100 points which should be more than enough to win the league.

And Obviously all this easier said than done but the draw against Chelsea should mean we're on our way to meeting this objective

It's a massive problem that Wenger cant win the first two games of any season. It means we are trailing from the get go. Yes, if we win a few tricky away fixtures that can correct us but nothing suggests that will happen. We are still nervous and shaky away from home to the big six. My only hope is without CL we start our season ending run a bit sooner. Wenger generally closes out strong but it's after getting walloped in the CL. If we are five points off the pace at the turn of the year and then go on a nice long run there is some hope.
