It has everything to do with a manager who does not know how to drill a defence and is too arrogant to let anybody else do it

THis.

But Cech isn't done until he either retires himself or Wenger is sacked.

Cech let in 5 goals in the last two games and still got to play tongiht. Unbelievable by Wenger.

Cech - Mertesacker - Kocielny - Mustafi - Chambers - Bellerin

VERSUS

SEaman - Dixon - Keown - Adams - O'Leary - Winterburn

And some people think it's all ok at Arsenal under wenger??????!!!!!!

No, he hasn't saved a single penalty for us after 14 attempts!

The record is 15 for a single club, so he's close to setting a new record for the worst penalty stopper at a single club.

Fingers crossed he gets the record soon, may as well get something to show for this shit show of a season.

He should retire the day he stops a penalty.

Leave on a high note while he still can.

He made a good double save but what irks me more than the penalties is his reluctance to come off the line to help out defenders. Also earlier he used to come for the high balls played in to the box but these days he just hangs back.

The fact he's faced 14 penalties in 2.5 seasons is a joke in itself, feels like Bournemouth level of defending.

Yeah, hopefully he will break the record, then finally save a penalty and retire.

The "Finally saved a penalty" trophy is all we have to hope for now. As well as the potential new record of course.

So what you're saying is, he not only never saves the penalties, but he helps create the conditions for them to be awarded in the first place. Interesting.

Good question. Imagine how confident you'd feel stepping up to take a penalty against him if you knew how bad his record is. Obviously doesn't/wouldn't help.

yep, does anyone know how many penalties other keepers have faced in comparison since Cech joined?

Courtois has saved 1 in 8 over the same period for comparison

Scratch that, includes 3 in the 14/15 season

So he's saved 1 in 5. Faced just 5 penalties over that period

De Gea has saved 1 in 10
