Flamengo agree deal to sign Jorginho on a free transfer from Arsenal

Plan confirmed since January and deal agreed as he’s set to join the Brazilian club on a contract until 2028.

Jorginho leaves Arsenal as free agent, while Thomas Partey’s still in talks over new deal with the Gunners.

Flamengo consider the deal verbally agreed, waiting Jorginho’s signature as @venecasagrande reported.

Do you wish to spend 200 mil on two midfielders? We didn't buy Cai.... because we got Rice.
Jorjginho was supposed to be an all action CM , capable of fitting in both no.6 and no.8, seamlessly but he did ok only in patches, last season and half, but this season he has been dismal.
The Zubi fellow is young , will learn, and might be a very good replacement.

I didn't want Caicedo when I saw the price being quoted, I certainly didn't want him instead of Rice, Jorginho was never in the fight, he was a cheap stop gap and I think he did well.
