I could see Tierney have a go at him.

If he hadn't have taken him down then he'd have probably scored. It's called a 'professional foul' for a reason. Would anyone swap 0-0 and a red for a 1-0 defeat and no red? I wouldn't.

Problem is it leaves us short for the NLD unless we can sign a midfielder by lunch time!

The man never changes does he, he is a fooking liability lets his team down again and again with his clusterfuck moments, we had a chance to get rid of this asshole but the clown kept him.

It is becoming unavoidable that we must get rid of Xhaka if we wish to move to the next level. He is a liability. Whatever good he does to the team isn't worth the horrible mistakes he keeps making over and over again. The sooner we move him on, the better.

It'll have to be White in the middle surely. We can't go there and play Lokonga and Patino ffs.

Chambers is the best option, that way Lokanga doesn’t have to focus to much on defensive side during the next game

I understand everyones reasoning in saying he shouldn’t play anymore, but no one has even mentioned who should be play instead.

The simple fact is theirs no one else in the current squad, that do Xhakas job better than him atm, until we sign a better player he’s one of the first names on that team sheet and that’s a fact

No way Jota gets the ball if xhaka doesn't foul him

When he went off I think we all for we were in for a good kicking, 4 nil or something. We played out of our socks from the red card and kept Pool's chances down. So 1-0 and 11 men might have been a better option, as it turned out it worked out for us.

Just another reckless challenge in the Xhaka catalogue. If he'd let it go and allowed jota to try and control the ball and go for goal, he'd have have all the time to block/challenge etc. Jota had it all to do and defenders need to play the odds in those situations.

Yeah, Jota had a low probability of scoring. To control a ball coming from that high in such a way as to open up a scoring chance with any time is quite difficult.
Not only could Xhaka still have closed down whilst Jota was readying himself, so could Ramsdale have come out and narrowed things down.

The problem with Xhaka is he just isn’t composed enough to think it through in the moment and make the right decision. Not going to change.
Good player with fatal flaw that will hurt the team 5-6 games a season.

That can be the difference between top 4, top 6, a cup you name it.

He needs to go.

It was bad enough against City, but now so soon??

No, its done now, not even a joke anymore.

We buy someone.

Xhaka should be in Roma costing them games, not here.

Then we should go ahead and sign someone. It's no good clinging on Xhaka just because we have no one else. Sign someone else, and then we don't need to play Xhaka ever again.

So what your saying is, in a team of no midfielders because Arteta put all his eggs in the Xhaka basket and loaned out better CMs, like a dyam fool - knowing full well Partey and Elneny would be going to the AFCON - Xhaka is the best?!!

That's like saying there are no cars to drive on our road trip because they have been lent to friends or are being serviced. We have a beaten up 40 year old Lada on its last legs, no cars we have available right now do a better job than the Lada :rofll:

I just don't know how Xhaka got scouted, surely his lack of speed was noticed by our scouts, why would anyone think he could cope in a combative role in Arsenal's midfield?!!!

Shocking!
