Looks like he ain't going nowhere.

IF that is true (and not just a negotiating tactic to drive up the fee) then Emery will should be sacked.
I thought we got our Arsenal back - but we got Emery

"Hey Granit, want to join the Atletico project? We can offer CL football and capable defenders"
"No thanks, I'm sticking with Arsenal because I can wear the captain's armband; it's quite a bit more work, but on the plus side, there's no additional pay."

Sports writers are really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

He's going to be huge next season. He's well settled in English football, and our best midfielder

A huge failure, no doubt.

Perfect captain for Emery's AFC.

Useless! Defensively non existent, likely to make a rash challenge, lame sideways passing, painfully slow in transition ... he offers nothing!

Because nobody is dull enough to spend money on him.

The fact that we spent £40m on this guy highlights a common problem we've had for a while. We've wasted money on sub par players.

He is not worth 40 quid.

Oh well. When you dont invest in the squad, situations like this occur.

Maybe in 10 years time...

We are just continuing our new tradition of having a captain who probably isn't good enough for the first team. This goes back to the Arteta and Mertesacker days
