Xhaka is not the problem, but a problem.

Pinged a couple nice passes but predictably (and repeatedly) lost the ball under pressure and continued to be a ineffective protecting the back line.

He's just not cut out to play in fast-paced games as he lacks the mobility, speed of thought as well as speed of execution to hold his own on a consistent basis.

Really hope that if a bid in excess of £20m comes in that we accept it.

I thought he was one of our best players tonight.

Standards have dropped so low people are happy when a player drops a proper 5/10 performance.

Wasn't our worst player but those who think we can build a successful team around him are disconnected with reality.

Not a fan of him but he was one of our better players today

With our shite budget i'd be tempted to stick with torreira and xhaka in midfield and focus on centre backs and a rwf.

When everyone else is putting in a 1.5 though...

Xhaka is being criticised. I wont defend his errors. But even Henderson looked awful before Liverpool bought proper centre backs, had the likes of Fabinho sweeping after him and quick forwards like Firminho acting as his outlets. We have so many to replace before him

Jordan Henderson/ James Milner also for example, not great players but they get the history of their club and what it means to play for a big team. We don't have enough of that

We had some many problems in midfield Guendouzi is a headless chicken but will get better in future, Xhaka great shot but is slow one footed and crumbles when I press him. Torreira had done well but past 3 months looks like the pace of the pl had caught up on him, Elneny is terrible .
