A real captains performance today

A shame he’s suspended midweek so he can’t keep it up

He played well. Overall I think he's been better under Emery.

He delivers some nice corner kicks and free kicks.

Also, him and Torr are the best midfield pairing on the team by far.

Good balance and chemistry.

I guess I just have to live in constant fear of his slow pace and bone headed mistakes at times.

This season:
We have played well without Ozil.
We have played well without Ramsey.
We have played well without Lacazette.
We have played well without Torreira.
We have played well without Aubameyang.
It supposed to be easier to play well without Xhaka, no?

We have also played well WITH all of them as well. If anything that is a positive sign overall.

Yes.

I don't think that it's likely but i think there's still room to improve. I choose to believe that he can be coached out of being a moron.

Still making lots of inexplicable mistakes vs lesser opposition but didn't put a foot wrong vs Liverpool and Tottenham.

To be fair he was excellent vs Spurs, I cannot complain about that performance, one of the best I have seen from him.

also, it seems missing players as highlighted above doesn't cripple the team, we are not a one man team.

When was his future here ever in doubt?

Wenger loved him and Emery immediately named him one of his 5 captains.
all of my posts are my own opinion
