f**k no.

Arsenal to offer Xhaka new deal all over diff news sites (The Athletic etc)...

I hope its a transfer strategy, because whilst we got this guy, we will always be stuck in the mud, just like the way he plays.

Were Roma ever even in for him?
Could have just been made up entirely by the media from the very start.
Who knows.
Hope he doesn't stay.
We do need to move on from him.

Arteta and Edu strike again, Arteta wanted to keep the guy all along, it’s just that Xhaka wanted out.

He doesn’t have a clue what makes a decent footballer, alarm bells should be ringing in every Arsenal fans head.

I don’t see how offering a new contract is a new transfer strategy to be fair, it means we’ll be stuck with him for even longer.

If we sign an upgrade like JWP and Xhaka is moved to the bench I wouldn’t mind the extension if true

Looks more and more like the entire Xhaka leaving news headlines and the digs at the club by the media as he was playing will on the Euros was all just an elaborate work of fiction.

It's more likely Roma enquired and got told a price, it was too high, that was it. End of story. Weeks ago.

Edu has failed with deals for better midfield targets, and this is their last resort.

Don’t expect Ode, Maddison, Aouar or anyone else. We’ve been played like fools again.

Why would we need Xhaka if we sign another CM ? Elneny is a better CM than Xhaka, we have that Lokonga dude too, why pay to have Xhaka sit on the bench ?

It's more likely some fans have been played like fools - by the media.

I think most would want Xhaka gone, though. Although he still has some fans out there because for 90% of a game he can be quite good, but just has a terrible f**k up in him too regularly.

The big problem is if he stays AND starts.
He's just not fluid or fast enough to move the ball effectively in midfield.
Not in the PL.

This isn't a good news. Xhaka should've been moved on by now, because if he stays on the traces of the past weaknesses will linger on.
It is important to start afresh this season.

Yup. Xhaka is the first name on the team sheet for Arteta. I was wondering how the Don was going to deal with not having him. Guess we know.

Our only hope is that Xhaka turns us down like Mustafi.
