Granit Xhaka

Arsenal are preparing to revive their interest in Granit Xhaka - less than six months after he joined Borussia Monchengladbach.
Xhaka, 20, came to prominence at former club Basel, with his displays for the Swiss club attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona.
However, he eventually opted to join Monchengladbach in a deal worth around £7million in May, and he has continued his progress at the Bundesliga club.
And according to Swiss newspaper Blick, Arsene Wenger's side are once again keen on the playmaker and could test Monchengladbach's resolve with a January bid.
However, it could take a sizeable offer to prise Xhaka away - he's contracted until 2017 and the German team would be looking for more than the £7m they paid for him earlier this year.

Don't see why they would sell him so soon.

Liverpool will make a huge push to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka in the January window. The Swiss star is likely to cost around €28 million (£19.7m), but the Reds could be pulled into a bidding war by Arsenal.

Arsenal are continuing to check on Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka.

Staff watched the Switzerland international during the recent Champions League tie with Manchester City and have watched him in the Bundesliga also.

Arsenal have a long-standing interest in the 23-year-old who has also been linked with Bayern Munich as they evaluate potential replacements for the ageing Xabi Alonso.

With Cazorla out for months this transfer would make sense.

Missed the boat when he first moved, looked good for basel but went off form a little and the big teams didn't take the gamble. Now back in form at BMG and a big part of their resurgent run prior to this weekend.

Man just got sent off for the 3rd time this season already

He could be the most injury proof player in the world but he'd still miss half the season with suspensions. No thanks

I thought it was his second but three in half a season? Woah zero discipline. Either that or struggling a lot defensively which wouldn't be entirely surprising given how slow he is and the fact that he's not very defensive-minded. From what i've seen he's not very comfortable/secure on the ball when the opposition is pressing high up the field but excellent at distributing the ball and dictating the tempo when given the space and time to do so. Good young DLP, but I feel we need a more defensive type of midfielder.

Would be the perfect player to play next to coq and behind Ozil. Would also bring some much needed steel to the team. Has Patrick and keane level toughness. One of my favorite players and really want us to sign him.
